Born in 1968, Alberto graduated in Engineering from Milano Politecnico University in 1993.
He started to work for the French based international Legrand Group, active in electrical switches and electrical components (in the Italian branch BTicino) to follow Quality Control procedures and laboratory standards.
After a couple of years’ experience he joined his family business, Nemesis SpA, to be in charge of management controls, production reports, efficiency-increase in the various plants in the Group.
He extensively travelled to East Europe where he monitored installation and start-up of various textile finishing and stitching factories (Rumania, Moldova, Lithuania, etc), while gaining a lot of experience in industrial manufacturing and cost-analysis, in constant liaison with the UK-based Headquarters.
Plenty of his time in following years was devoted to investigate and implement EDP systems and management control tools in various factories and marketing-offices for the Group around Europe: Navision, Baan, SAP, etc.
In 1996 he decided to join the booming internet business, with an own company (UKI YO) through which he both consulted to, and became partner to, a number of web-driven initiatives:
Maihomu.com (home design object portal, B2B & B2C), Losport.it (B2C sport-oriented vortal), Lomography.it (B2C portal about analog-fotographing, with plenty of online marketing and community-building activities), etc.
Latest achievemnts include the launch of a flash-sale website dedicated to “Hipster-style” consumers in the field of fashion, motorbike style and objects, bicycle-wear and accessories, etc (Ukigarage.com).
Very skilled in direct marketing and online marketing, including B2C community-building initiatives and events, Alberto is also specialized in fidelity campaigns and promotion/loyalty business-driven events, where he gained experience over the last 20 years with many deals with large companies and brands (Alessi, Henkel, Dixan, BMW, L’Oreal, Barilla, Fiat, etc). This wide experience applies to the field of design-objects, home-decoration, fashion-accessories, textiles, etc.
